How can I tell if my Accutron timepiece is authentic?
The easiest way to know if your Accutron timepiece is authentic is if it was purchased from an authorized Accutron retailer. Please refer to our retailer list. If you’re unsure, please contact the retailer you purchased it from or contact us at customercare@accutronwatch.com
How can I check the availability of a timepiece?

WARRANTY
How long is the warranty on an Accutron timepiece?
Accutron timepieces are warranted for 5 years from date of purchase.
What does the warranty cover?
This timepiece is warranted to the original owner for 5 years from the date of purchase. The warranty covers parts of the timepiece that have failed due to original defects in materials or workmanship under normal use, including the capacitor. This warranty does not cover:
- Periodic Service and Maintenance.
- Damage resulting from improper handling, abnormal use, alteration, negligence or lack of care of the timepiece.
- Normal wear and tear and aging including deterioration and scratches to the timepiece finish (case, bracelet, crown, or crystal).
- The crystal or band.
- Water damage if there is moisture or water damage to the timepiece if opened.
- Any service or maintenance, repairs or servicing that voids the warranty.

Can I use a watch winder for my Accutron automatic (Legacy Collection) timepiece?
Mechanical watches are powered by the movement of your wrist as you wear it. It is recommended that you use a watch winder when you are not wearing your watch every day. If you use a watch winder for your Accutron Automatic, set your winder to 700 – 900 CW rotations per day. Note the watch winder can only be used with the Accutron legacy collections featuring a mechanical movement.
Can I use a watch winder for my Accutron electrostatic (Spaceview 2020 and Accutron DNA Collections) timepiece?
Do not use a watch winder for the Accutron electrostatic Spaceview 2020 and DNA collections. This will not help powering your timepiece.
Is there a battery in my Accutron timepiece?
There is no battery in the Legacy timepieces. The Spaceview 2020 and DNA collections featuring our proprietary electrostatic movement have a rechargeable cell / capacitor.
Can I go swimming / enjoy water sports with my Accutron timepiece?
The Accutron timepieces are not meant to be used for swimming or water sports.

The second hand has stopped at 12 o'clock on my Accutron electrostatic timepiece.
Your timepiece can be in either the Power Save Function or Energy Conserving Function modes.
The second hand has stopped at 4 o'clock on my Accutron electrostatic timepiece.
Your timepiece's energy reserves are below operation and recharge levels. Please send to an authorized service center.
The second hand on my Accutron electrostatic timepiece has stopped at another position besides 4 and 12 o'clock.
Your timepiece may have experienced a shock that interrupted the movement. Attempt to restart by swinging the timepiece for 3-5 seconds. If the watch reactivates, it is operating correctly. If it does not reactivate, please contact an authorized service center.
All hands have stopped on my Accutron electrostatic timepiece.
When all hands are stationary, this may indicate the Energy Conserving Function. To reactivate, swing the timepiece for 3-5 seconds. If the watch reactivates, it is operating correctly. If it does not reactivate, please contact an Accutron authorized service center.
Can I open my Accutron electrostatic timepiece?
Under no circumstance is your Accutron Electrostatic timepiece to be opened. For any repair, please contact an Accutron authorized service center.
How long do I charge my Accutron electrostatic timepiece?
If the timepiece is worn while walking for one hour (about 6,000 steps), a charge of about one day of operation will be generated.
How long will my Accutron electrostatic timepiece last?
The power life depends on each person’s lifestyle such as the number of steps to walked a day, how the person swing their arm etc . If your Accutron electrostatic timepiece is worn everyday while walking one hour, it may last up to 10 years or more.
How can I preserve the stored energy on my Accutron electrostatic timepiece?
If you know you may not be wearing your Accutron electrostatic timepiece for a while, we recommend pulling the crown to maintain the level of energy stored in the capacitor.
Who can repair my Accutron timepiece?
This timepiece is only available for repairs by an authorized service center.
What is the Power Saving Function?
To ensure power saving, the second hand automatically stops at 12 o'clock after 5 minutes of non activity. Your timepiece continues to keep time.
What is the Energy Conserving Function?
The Energy Conserving Function stops all hands on the timepiece to save power from being depleted. This will either happen after 10 days have passed since the power save function was activated, or after one hour since the crown has been pulled out.
What is electrostatic generation?
The timepiece has charged discs that spin quickly to generate energy. These discs are within the two turbines at the 6 o'clock position.
How do you charge the Accutron Electrostatic timepieces?
While wearing the timepiece on your wrist, the natural motion of your arm while walking will maintain power generation.
How do you stop power saving modes?
Raise and swing your arm in a long chopping motion for 3-5 seconds or until the second hand reactivates.
How do you set the time?
The second hand should be operating normally before attempting to set the time. When the second hand points to 12 o'clock, pull the crown out. All hands will stop.
Turn the crown to set the correct time.
After setting the time, push the crown back in to the normal position. All hands will start moving normally.

How can I get my original Accutron appraised?
As a matter of policy, we do not provide valuations on vintage watches, which are dependent upon the condition of the timepiece and verification of authenticity. I have an original Accutron with a tuning fork movement. Where can I get it serviced?
Unfortunately, due to parts unavailability, we are currently unable to service Accutron tuning fork movements watches.
